You'll be hearing from Southern California-based federal workers who lost their jobs from the DOGE cuts and are now dealing with a lot of uncertainty .... for their careers, their families and their futures.
Let's do some numbers first... so we can get a look at the scope...
--While there is no official count of how many workers have been laid off, estimates from USA Today are expecting at least 100-thousand federal workers ..... when all is said and done.
--That's on top of the roughly 75-thousand who took the offered buyouts and voluntarily left.
--There are an estimated 3-million total federal workers ... and that's not including active duty military or the millions of contract employees.
-- Outside of Washington D.C., the biggest concentration of federal employees ... are here in California.
