The Bayou Preservation Association’s CPR mission is to Celebrate, Protect and Restore the natural richness of all our 2500 miles of waterways, bayous and streams in the Houston area. Their nonprofit has developed a range of initiatives and efforts to help ensure the protection of greater Houston waterways, including an annual symposium, clean-up projects, participation in the Annual Art Car Parade, Trash Bash and much more.To support all of the Bayou Preservation Association’s important programs, and rely on corporate and individual donations, grants and  fundraisers. Coming up Wednesday, April 27 is Bayou Wonderland, their first in-person gala since 2019. It will be held  at the beautiful Houston Botanic Garden, with Sims Bayou as its backdrop. This beautiful waterway meanders through the 132-acre site, formerly the Glenbrook Golf Course, just south of downtown Houston. They encourage listeners to get involved with their local watersheds whether it’s through clean-up projects, water quality testing, recreation or educational efforts.
