Eli Escobar interviewed Mrs. Debra Haney, Superintendent for Catholics Schools, regarding their upcoming school and community event, the Pattern of Hope Luncheon March 22. A luncheon celebrating our Catholic school communities and how they serve families within their cities. The network of Catholic Schools is the largest private school system in the state and our schools cross into 23 public districts across the greater Houston area. Present will be keynote speaker Kathryn bWhitaker. Kathryn Whitaker is the author of Live Big, Love Bigger: Getting Real with BBQ, Sweet Tea, and a Whole Lotta Jesus , an award-winning book about living an intentional kind of life. The goal for A Pattern of Hope is truly three-fold—1. to celebrate the outstanding work carried out by our schools, every day, 2. in raising funds from the luncheon to provide tuition assistance and technology needs & resources for our schools, which have increased tremendously since the onset of the pandemic, and 3. to continue the legacy of Catholic education and the transformative quality that it brings to the lives of our students.
