Millions of non commutative autistic people face challenges everyday with no real way of breaking through their wealth of knowledge to the world. A recent documentary Spellers, that won Best Documentary Award at the Phoenix Film Festival, examines a new way of communicating with non communitive autistic people. Melinda Kutzer, a Pittsburgh mother of a 26-year-old non commutative autistic son, went to a meeting about a new to communicate with her son. She went expecting nothing only for her to leave in tears of joy. She joined the Rick Dayton Show to talk about the emotional journey she's been on and the small community of "Spellers" in Pittsburgh.
