The Brown Mama Monologues is a celebration of motherhood and provides a solid, safe space for women of color to share their stories of tragedy, trauma, and triumph. For 7 years, Muffy Mendoza, the Founder and Executive Director of the Brown Mama Monologues, curated this platform to entertain, educate, and inspire audiences in a one-mic, one story, one speaker theme of powerful performances presented by women from various areas of the country. This year's event is Saturday, May 6 at the Trust Arts Education Center. Six women from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Detroit will hit the stage to share their stories of motherhood through their unique lenses. Muffy Mendoza was a guest on The Rick Dayton Show.
