NEW COVID-19 MODELLING OUT TODAY
New COVID-19 modelling is expected out today from Ontario’s Science Table. Earlier this week the Table indicated that the latest wastewater data shows the province may have plateaued at 100,000 COVID-19 cases per day. This as Health Canada is confirming six cases of the XE variant in the country.
Jane Brown is joined by Dr. Lawrence Goodridge, Director of the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety at the University of Guelph and a Team Leader for Ontario's wastewater surveillance initiative; Dr. Barry Pakes, Medical Officer of Health for York Region and professor at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health; and Dr. Timothy Sly, epidemiologist and professor at the school of Occupational and Public Health at Ryerson University, to discuss.
