Libby Znaimer is joined by Councillor Jaye Robinson for Ward 15 Don Valley West, Councillor Mike Colle for Ward 8 Eglinton-Lawrence, and Councillor James Pasternak for Ward 6 York Centre and Chair of Infrastructure and Environment Committee.
Yesterday, Toronto Mayor John Tory held a meeting with representatives of the city's transit and construction industry as well as Police, city Councillors and others to discuss pedestrian road safety around construction zones and vehicles.
The Mayor said that a pedestrian road safety plan is in the works and will come about in the next few weeks.
Last week, a woman was struck and injured by a dump truck driver while getting off a streetcar on Bathurst Street. Earlier in the month, a 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a cement truck driver near the Yonge and Eglinton Neighbourhood.
