We had breakfast with Amy Summerville, Senior Vice President, Professional Development & Engagement and who oversees Professional Development, Technology Engagement, Production, Onboarding and RE/MAX University for RE/MAX, LLC, as well as Education for Motto Franchising, LLC. She told us all about her journey with RE/MAX, we talked about always being able to adapt, and she gave us a long list of new books to read!
Amy began her RE/MAX career in 2003 as a Sales Associate in Albuquerque, N.M., where she eventually led a top-producing sales team. In 2008, she moved to Denver and joined RE/MAX LLC as a Franchise Development Consultant for the RE/MAX Carolinas Region. In 2010, she was promoted to Director of the RE/MAX Central Atlantic Region. In 2011, Amy's focus shifted from regional operations to education, and she joined RE/MAX University as Director of Broker Training. Her role grew constantly, and in 2014 she became Executive Director, Education, assuming leadership of RU training programs, revenue and marketing. In 2015, Amy was promoted to Vice President and was an Opening General Session speaker at RE/MAX R4 Convention, highlighting the value of education to an audience of over 5,000 attendees. She was promoted to Senior Vice President, Education & Training in August 2018, and in February 2019, her responsibilities expanded once again when she was named Senior Vice President, Professional Development & Engagement.
