September 20, 1995 WCPR-FM came to life at 3:00PM... At 5:07PM, we were off the air (that was quick)? ... a car hit a power pole. Power was lost at the studio. The hours following was the only chance given to the competition. Once CPR came back on the air, competitors have been in the rearview. CPR is still leading the pack. WCPR has defined itself as one of the leading rock stations in the country. That's a magic that is unheard of these days.
