Hallelujah! We've made it one full year of the podcast and what better way to celebrate than serving up a bowl of stinkers from the year of our lord 1981. Hard to believe that 40 years ago our lord and savior bestowed upon his flock some of the lousiest motion pictures to ever grace your local box office.
To start us off on our special 2-part anniversary episode, we're joined by our spiritual familiars Gene & Roger who watch us from the great balcony in the sky where the popcorn is fresh and the refills are free. They'll guide us through the gauntlet of cinema trash to hopefully come out the other side with a few bumps and bruises but still alive and hey that's what really counts, am I right?
This week Randy picks three movies from Gene & Roger's rogues gallery, starting with Burt Reynolds and a host of other Holllywood locals with no jobs lined up for the summer in Cannonball Run. Next we'll watch Jerry Lewis's return to directing in Hardly Working, a movie that's loved by the French... Then we'll round out the list with Halloween II, a movie that may or may not deserve a spot on this list. Will we agree with Gene & Roger? The answer may surprise you.
