Gooood Saturday morning! Here's what James Clary covers today:
- Douglass Mackey joins James this morning.
- You may remember Douglass Mackey because Mr. Mackey was sentenced for election interference in the 2016 presidential race.
- So how did he interfere in the election? He posted a meme on Twitter that said, “Avoid the line. Vote from home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925.”
- Mackey was found guilty under the “Conspiracy Against Rights” Act and was sentenced to seven months in prison at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2023.
- Did anyone attempt to vote via text? Mackey says no.
- Doug Mackey kicked off his appeal on Jan. 5th.
- There are several ways to donate to Doug and his defense fund if you wish to do so...
