In this episode, we're talking about Nadia and Lili Boulanger, two sisters from 19th Century France who made their mark on the history of music composition. Lili was the first female winner of the Prix de Rome composition prize, with her sister Nadia not only being the first woman to conduct many major orchestras in America and Europe but also spending a lifetime teaching music to some of the most notable composers in history.
