Yasmin Henderson ATR-BC, LIMHP, LPC, LADC, CCTP is an Art Therapist, Founder & Owner of Creative Counseling & Studio. Yasmin is a nationally registered art therapist, licensed independent mental health practitioner, licensed professional counselor, licensed alcohol and drug counselor and certified clinical trauma professional. She received her Master of Science in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She has worked with children, adults, persons in recovery from substances, people struggling with severe and persistent mental illnesses, parent-child dyads, families, and couples. She specializes in art therapy, EMDR, CPP, DBT, trauma-informed & multiculturally sensitive care. Yasmin has over 20 years of experience in social services and 10 years as a practicing therapist.
Yasmin also co-founded with Michelle Mastny Inclusive Healers of the Heartland (IHHI). The purpose of IHHI is to advocate for increased education for health providers treating diverse populations. In addition, we strive to center the narrative of diverse providers; foster industry leadership; and connect thought leaders to the communities they serve.
