Jordan Stevens, father of Macy Stevens, joins us to share his story of raising a child diagnosed with complex heart defects at her twenty-week ultrasound, who later had open-heart surgeries at one-month, six months and two-years old before eventually having a heart transplant on December 2, 2008, when Macy was 10 years old. Macy loved music, movies, and volleyball. She loved to travel, experience exotic places and even got a chance to swim with dolphins on one of her many excursions.
Jordan’s story of parenthood, love, grief, loss, and inspiration in creating Macy’s Way Foundation. Macy’s Way foundation helps others through support including certified therapy animals and other means that share the same passion for helping animals that Macy had.
The mission of Macy’s Way is to provide, promote and improve the emotional, mental and physical well-being and health of young people by providing financial assistance, and other avenues of support including certified therapy animals and other means.
