We took an unannounced break to get our lives together. This episode is to summarize the past few months of Angee’s Shrink Show of a life so listeners can catch up too. As many followers remember, Angee was raised majority of her life by her Grandma Patty. Earlier this year, Grandma was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia known as T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL). T-PLL is an extremely rare and typically aggressive cancer that is generally considered to have a poor prognosis, even with treatment. At this time, Grandma has made the difficult decision to forgo treatment and fully enjoy her remaining time with friends and family. Doctors can’t say for sure how long Grandma Patty will remain with us, but we know it won’t be as long as we would like.
As Angee recently posted to her social media: To know Grandma Patty is to be loved by her. Her heart accepts you as you are and welcomes you as family. She has become everyone’s grandma and, in fact, many of you may never have even known her name before now because you always just called her “Grandma”. To know Grandma Patty is to love her. Her soul is a medicine that leaves you feeling better than when you came.
