Description

This week we do part II to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's song, "WAP", with Kory as our guest again. There is a lot of double standards in the music industry due to patriarchy, and lots of misogyny so we address those topics. Women in rap catch a lot of heat for being sexually explicit and liberated. There is an unspoken rule where if a woman sings sexual lyrics, versus rapping them, then it's more acceptable, even praised at times. Men can rap or sing about drugs, f*cking hoes, their dicks, killing people and everything but never are held to a standard of being role models for the children. Also, why are men so quick to cry about sexual lyrics but when their favorite artist is a pedophile, rapist or abuser, it's crickets? It's important that girls/women hear sexually explicit songs from another woman's perspective, so we love WAP!
