Today I'm talking about the song "Your Heart", by Joyner Lucas & J. Cole. It's such a bop and it's all about this dude facing the reality that he lost a good girl and that it's all his fault for being a f***boy. J. Cole hops on to hold his homie accountable and let him know that, yeah she's probably about to be out doing her own thing and you can't even be mad because you did this to yourself. Like he says in the song, "What goes around, comes around". I talk about whether getting dick for revenge is a good idea or not, and why we need to be smarter about the specific dick we use for revenge. Nicki Minaj says you should f*** his friend, but I think that's dumb.
There were two listeners that hit me up with some relationship issues that they needed an outside perspective on so I get in depth about those. One is about whether a girl should let her dude go and work on himself so that they can get back together later, because she's scared she'll lose feelings. They've been through a lot and it's hard to just let go.
The other girl shared that her boyfriend has been making her feel a way because he has this girl friend that he spends time with one on one a lot, in low key romantic settings. She doesn't wanna come off as possessive and her homegirls think it's weird but I weigh in and give my two cents.
Then I talk about a Tik Tok I saw about the Gottman Method and a study about what the key to a long lasting relationship is. The Atlantic has an article that references the study, and I found a blog that broke that article down into 10 bullets as the most important takeaways of what the study found.
