Vicky Manivanh and Michelle Holm are friends, neighbors, and now, business partners. Like most things that end up being a great idea, ReCooped PNW started as a brilliant accident. While visiting a friend’s business, we noticed they were throwing away a large amount of plastic material. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that the material was quite durable so we decided to “rescue” it. A few days after this, Vicky made a bag out of this plastic material on a whim and we ended up loving it. We made a few more and gave them away to our friends and family and they ended up loving them as well. We realized after this that we had something special on our hands and wanted to share it with the rest of the world.
Although our journey started by chance, what keeps us motivated today is our common interest of problem solving and passion for making sustainability accessible to a larger audience. We believe sustainable lifestyles don’t have to be complicated and want to offer people a direct solution to living sustainably. With our sustainable bags we hope to help people live happier, greener lives.
