The Steelers hired Matt Canada as the new QB coach freeing Randy Feichtner to focus on OC duties. Canada has historically made good use of play action. Whether he deploys this tactic and whether Ben and Randy agree remains to be seen.
Donnie Shell is Hall of Fame bound. He goes to Canton to join four of his 1974 classmates - Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth and Mike Webster. Shell holds the NFL record for interceptions by a strong safety with 51. Add 19 fumble recoveries to that statistic along with being selected for the Pro Bowl five times.
Joe Haden was named to the Pro Bowl, joining teammates Cam Heyward, JJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick on Sunday, Jan. 26 in Orlando, Florida.
