Description

Andreas Bichel, known as “the Bavarian Ripper,” was an early‑1800s German murderer and suspected serial killer who lured young women to his home under the guise of fortune‑telling, then bound, stabbed, and dismembered them. Operating around Regendorf in Bavaria between about 1806 and 1808, he is confirmed to have killed at least two women—Barbara Reisinger and Catherine Seidel—after convincing them to sit for a “magic mirror” reading, during which he tied and blindfolded them before attacking.
