Rodney Alcala, dubbed “The Dating Game Killer,” was a sexually sadistic serial killer and rapist who murdered at least eight people (mostly young women and girls) between 1971 and 1979, though investigators believe he may be responsible for over 100 victims. Alcala posed as a photographer to lure his victims, often torturing and strangling them repeatedly before finally killing them.
