Edward Pehowic is a New Hampshire murderer convicted in the 1996 killing of Carol Caswell, who was drowned and beaten at Willand Pond in Somersworth. Pehowic also confessed to the 1990 murder of Sheila Holmes, whose body was found beaten and strangled on railroad tracks in Dover, though at times he wavered on his involvement and was not officially charged in that case. His own statements and confessions, plus testimony from his brother and a former friend, described voices compelling him to "hunt women" and detailed his violent tendencies.
