Susan Bailey, a 43-year-old single mother from Roanoke, Texas, was murdered in September 2008 by her own teenage children—17-year-old Jennifer Bailey and 13-year-old David Bailey—along with Jennifer’s boyfriend Paul Henson. Susan was stabbed 26 times, her throat was slashed, and she was beaten with a baseball bat in a violent rampage that left officers describing the crime scene as a “slaughterhouse.” Investigators also found evidence of failed attempts to poison Susan with crushed Tylenol pudding and to electrocute her in the bathtub.
