For many LGBTQ folks, bars have long been more than bars. They've been community centers, meeting places, and a way to find our people. But what happens when every social plan seems to come with a drink in hand? Aadi joins us to talk about finding the line between social drinking and social habit, creating new ways to connect, and figuring out how to have a great night out without waking up wondering if it was worth it.
Make Robin & Steph's mocktails!
Steph:
1) Use iced tea, lemon, a herb or spice of your choice (Steph uses Cardamom syrup), muddle them up, delicious!
2) Soak hibiscus leaves, lime or lemon juice, fresh ginger, a little honey, to make a refreshing summery pink drink!
Robin:
1) A non-alcoholic tequila is great!
2) Take some lime juice, agave syrup (approx 3 swirls), *important* put them in a cute glass, add fresh mint and muddle. Add a load of ice and fill with seltzer. Garnish with a piece of lime for ultimate aesthetics.
