Description

The beginning of Pride Month 2021 is cause for celebration, but not without taking pause to acknowledge the alarming rise of anti-trans legislation across the country. According to the Human Rights Campaign, more than 100 bills have been introduced by 33 states across the US, all aiming to repress the rights of transgender people. On this episode of the Well+Good podcast, we are tuning in to hear the story of writer and mother MaryRose Denton, whose son came out to her as transgender when he was 17 years old. MaryRose explains the importance of providing unconditional love and support to any loved one who is struggling with their sexual identity. Her story is currently being featured on site as part of Well+Good’s ‘Love Out Loud’ series.
