Description

If asked to DTR with social media, many of us would answer: it’s complicated. When Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp went down on October 4, 2021, it became impossible to ignore how complicated that relationship really is. On the one hand, we got a day to check back in with ourselves IRL, but on the other… Many of us would be ashamed to admit how many times we checked to see if the apps were back up and running. When it comes to being sucked into the scroll, are we as individual consumers entirely to blame? It’s clear that whether we like it or not, most of us are in a committed relationship with social media, so how do we make it better?
