After the first month in isolation, I had melted into a place of homeschooling, letting go of my old routine and, well, scones. I have always loved scones and I thought there must be some magical way bakers made it that was impossible to recreate. Well, after 2 solid weeks of trying, I perfected some plant-based scone recipes to a point that our favourite time was morning scone-time at 10:30 am. After a month of that, I was feeling pretty darn blah, sluggish, stagnant (but if I come out with a vegan scone cookbook, don't be surprised ;). I needed something to pull me back from the land of homemade scones, so I went online and found a couple of guys doing this crazy thing called the Climb Mount Everest from Home Challenge. I read more and was fascinated not necessarily by their ambitions to climb the real Mount Everest one day, but how I could bring this into my routine and shake of the quarantine blahs.
I came up with this plan to start walking up to my one flight of stairs in our house every day. First, it was just 5 flights. Then I managed to hit 30 flights huffing and puffing. Now I do 108 flights every morning. Every morning.
In this episode I share with you how I started, how I am NOT letting the coronavirus take my endurance, stamina or strength, and how this challenge has been more therapeutic for me that I thought it ever could be.

Oh, and in this episode, I referenced the previous episode I taped on crying. Here is the link to that little gem.
