The Equality Act is knocking at the door step of the United States, and this will have a profound effect on the US and on those who agree.  It may be well intentioned, but it will be the most significant violation of religious freedom in recent memory.

1) We have universal human right because of our dignity that arises from our spiritual nature.  Our spiritual nature puts us in relation with God, so we owe him our mind and will, our belief and our choices.  Rights are what defend this primordial responsibility, the right of religious freedom.

2) As we owe God our understanding, it's important to see what he has revealed about human sexuality.  "God created man in his image, male and female he created them."  "Go forth and multiply...a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife."  These verses offer clarity to our understanding.  God revealed this, and we must believe it.  In fact, we have the duty to disagree with anything that is not compatible with it, namely, gender ideology.

3) The Equality Act codifies gender ideology, constructing the law of the land on a lie.  The lie is that gender identity is not biologically rooted, that one's sexual identity is based on preference.  Their human rights should be maintained, but it would also require peope, in many ways, to serve the choices of those of gender ideology even when those choices are viewed as immoral.  There would be punishment should that not happen.  This is a violation of religious freedom.
