Since I was a little kid, I have always had to learn to be patient. Patience is another word for Hope and Faith. More closer to Faith.
I remember when I was learning to how to sell, I read somewhere or someone told me…”if the prospect is not answering a question, they are hiding something- dig deeper”
For those who know me personally, you know I’m not afraid to dig deeper . I’m always looking for the truth, so if I have the opportunity to find it, to me it doesn’t matter where and when that is. (Lack of patience)
Patience is also necessary for tact. Timing must be perfect for so many things in nature.
Even though there are no perfect things in life from a philosophical standard, there is such a thing as perfect timing and most of the time it requires patience.
I’m on a journey of constant self awareness and sometimes I demand answers from my mentors or students or people I work with.
I put myself in predicaments sometimes when someone is trying to keep some information from me. But because it is something I feel I need to know or ought to know, I keep digging.
I make sure I make them comfortable with me so they can tell me the truth. Sometimes, I may even be pressuring that person to speak up in open groups or in public. But what if they really don't have the information I need or want?
What if all this pressure is only creating tension that won't result in what I’m looking for?
I must be patient and wait.
There are other things I can be doing now to make the situation better. When the time is right, I'll have everything I need. I am patient.
I can do the things I control. Stay disciplined and trust God.
Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting. Wait in a state of expectation.
They say “ One minute of patience gives you 10 years of peace”
Patience is Power, Edmund Burke said : “Our patience will achieve more than our force.”
Gandhi said : "To lose patience is to lose the battle.”
Lao Tzu said, “I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.”
In the Old Chinese proverb, it says “One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.”
“When the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.”
James 1:3-4
Patience is the Lord’s call for our character to not merely engage in passive endurance, but active perseverance.
Give the time and the necessary patience to Get what you fully deserve and love.
