It is always nice to have something pleasant to look forward to.
When you are toiling away at your job or at some obligation that isn't especially fun, having that sense of anticipation for something that is unfolding in the near future can make the dull times more bearable.
You are probably someone who plans life this way, with small adventures or events to think about.
But it is just as important to experience joy in the smaller moments. The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word “entheos” which means the God within.
The happiest, most interesting people are those who have found the secret of maintaining their enthusiasm, to keep God within.
Not everything has to be, or can be, big and exciting.
You just need to concentrate on seeking out the little things and fleeting moments that make you smile. It will make today and everyday richer.
