When I want something passionately in life, and I am someone who diligently pursues my passion, I go all in!
Is there a difference between PASSION and OBSESSION? It seems like a lot of people use both words to define the same. I understand how at times it can be difficult to tell the difference between both, so I wanted to make sure we’re on the same page. Check this….
There is a famous sales leader who really supports obsession. I’m sure you know who I’m talking about. He said if you're not obsessed you'll stay average. I agree that the average person is neither passionate or obsessed, but what I don’t like is that “obsessed” is being sold as something positive. It’s not. Obsession is an EGO game that ruins and kills relationships!
Obsession is something you can be consumed by for deeper, darker reasons, and it can tear you up inside. It’s pure addiction. Inability to stop.
A passion is something that fills your heart, your soul, and your life with joy. It’s pure pleasure! Passion is something that allows you to use your God given talents and be creative. Passion allows you to create in an effortless way and it’s amazing to the observers.
It's important to know the difference. Be sure that your current pursuit is based in passion, not obsession. One of the most important lessons in life is to strive for the things that are meaningful to YOU, not meaningful to others. GIVE a chance to JOY and GET the true fulfillment in life by living in your authentic passion.
