Episode 296 - Show Notes:
- No matter how we try to do good and to improve our lives, we fall short of God’s standard of righteousness.
- Because of our sins, we are under the penalty of death, but here’s where the love of God steps in.
- Compelled by a love we will spend an eternity trying to understand, God sends his only son, Jesus to die in our place. He took our sin penalty.
- The gospel, the good news is that we can be forgiven of our sins as we place our faith in Jesus. We believe that he died for us. We believe his death satisfied the justice of God.
Romans 1:16 - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
