Episode 325 - Show Notes:
- We don’t always understand why God asks us to do something, but our simple obedience leads to God’s blessings.
- With limited human understanding, we can’t possibly understand everything about why or how God does what he does.
- Since we can’t know it all, understand it all, or see it all, have have to trust. We need faith. It’s a decision to believe in God, but it’s also a decision to let him have control of your life. This is what it means to make Jesus the Lord of your life.
- You don’t have to know why God is asking you to do something in order to obey him. Just offer God your simple obedience and I believe you’ll be rewarded.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
1 John 5:3 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.”
