- God knew that the fear of man would be a struggle for us. While we struggle to varying degrees, it’s our inner insecurity that causes us to want to please people.
- The fear of man manifests itself in many ways: the need for approval and the fear of disapproval, the need for acceptance, peer-pressure, fear of criticism, need for recognition, and so much more.
- We overcome the fear of man when we learn to be secure in Christ. The Bible says we have been accepted, we have been chosen, we have been redeemed, we have been forgiven. we are love, we have a purpose, and we have the promise of eternal life.
Proverbs 29:25 - “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”
Hebrews 13:6 - “So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
