Episode 346 - Show Notes:
- As followers of Christ, you and I are in the midst of a spiritual transformation. While we have received complete forgiveness of our sins, we are still in the process of becoming like Jesus.
- Sanctification is a process of separation from our old way of living before we met Christ. We are letting go of old values, old patterns of behavior, and old ways of living that conflict with the Word of God. It is also taking on the new nature and the new life we have in Christ.
- If you are wondering what God wants to do in and through your life. This is it. Sanctification. God is at work to make you like Jesus. I want to cooperate with this process. I want my words to reflect the character of Christ. I want my attitude to be the same as Jesus. I want my actions, choices, and decisions to reflect my Christian faith.
- Simply to place yourself in God’s hands. Cooperate with the Master Designer as he shapes you into the image of Jesus. Say, “Lord, here am I. Make me what you want me to be.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”
