Episode 366 - Show Notes:
- Inside all of us there is a thirst that nothing in this world can satisfy. There is a thirst within us that only God can fill.
- Think about all the things people pursue to fill this spiritual thirst. People search for Power, Influence, Authority, Money, Fame, My big break, Prestige, Opportunity, Connection, Community, Success, Meaning, Purpose, Affirmation, Relationships, Comfort, and Happiness.
- If you have pursued these things you know by now they cannot satisfy. I discovered that Jesus could offer me something that nothing or no one else could offer. He could quench my thirst. He offered me a relationship. He offered me purpose for my life. As I began to sincerely follow him, my life was filled with contentment. I realized that Jesus could satisfy the thirst and the longing that I had inside.
- If you are thirsty, if there is a deep spiritual longing in your heart, I invite you to come to Jesus. He offers water that satisfies.
John 7:37-38 Jesus says, ““Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
evelation 22:7 says, “let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”
