Rishelle, a professional graphic designer, and Jessica, a work-at-home mother of three-year-old twins, strip the greeting card concept down to first principles; no sequins, glitter, or lace, just well-placed words that speak to real human sentiments. dapple + grey greeting cards are designed and packaged in Glastonbury, Connecticut, by two sisters with a passion for clean lines and the simple power of connection through the written word. When we were kids, our mom used to sing us a song, “All the Pretty Little Horses”. There’s a line that says “Dapples, grey”, but we sang it as “dapple and grey”. We wanted a name that meant something to us, and as I (Rishelle) was thinking about what it could be, I thought about our childhood and this came to mind. When I mentioned it to my sister, we both knew that it was right.
