We just celebrated Labor Day. Hopefully everyone had an opportunity to rest and recover from the beginning of the semester. If so, you have the Labor Movement's efforts to thank for this long weekend. The Labor Movement worked to support workers so they had a safe environment in which to work and get a fair wage for a fair day's work. These ideals should not be a thing of the past. In this week's episode, we talk a bit about the history of Labor Day and the advances the Labor Movement made to make life better for the one's doing most of the work. We also talk about how supervisors can better advocate for themselves and their teams to create an environment on all campuses that support employees and ensure everyone is getting a fair wage in return for a fair day's work. Happy Labor Day.
