The Essex Serpent is a six episode mini-series that premiered with two episodes on Friday, May 13th via Apple TV Plus. The show is based on the 2016 best selling novel of the same name by author Sarah Perry. The story follows Cora Seaborne, played by Claire Danes, as a 19th century widow who moves to Essex to investigate the possible existence of a sea serpent.
