This study will focus on Mark 1:40-45, and the story of a man with leprosy who comes to Jesus for cleansing. A leper in that day was considered unclean physically and spiritually. According to Leviticus 13, they had to live separate lives — separated from their families, separated from society, and separated from worship. However, with compassion, Jesus touched this leper, told him to be clean, and he was cleansed at that very moment.
