This study will focus on Mark 6:30-44, where we find the story of Jesus feeding a crowd of more than 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. In doing this miracle, He had more in mind than just feeding a hungry crowd; He wants to teach His disciples and us about having compassion for people in need. Jesus’ example first shows them and us what true compassion looks like, and then He expects His disciples to follow His example and show the same compassion themselves.
