This study will focus on Mark 9:30-41, where Jesus taught His disciples two in-depth lessons about pride and humility. However, before He taught those lessons, He reminded the disciples of His upcoming betrayal, death, and resurrection (Mark 9:30-32). It is clear from Jesus’ sacrifice (Philippians 2:5-8) as well as from these two lessons that He expects all of His disciples, both then and today, to imitate His humility in their lives.
