In today's study we will consider the part of the Christmas story where an angel appears to Joseph, Mary’s fiancé, assuring him that she had done nothing wrong and telling him that it was all right for him to marry her (Matthew 1:18-25). The angel also told Joseph that he was to name this special Son, “Jesus,” and that He would also be called, “Immanuel.” Our study will focus on the meaning of these two special names, and what these names means to our lives today.
