Today’s study will focus on Mark 7:24-37 where Jesus performs two miracles — casting the demon out of a young Syrophoenician girl and healing a deaf and mute man. Both of these miracles were done among the Gentiles who were considered unclean by most of the Jews. But Jesus didn’t treat them as unclean; instead, He demonstrated a heart-felt compassion for them. In so doing, He was teaching His disciples, including us, to have the same heart-felt compassion for all people.
