This study will focus on Mark 7:14-23, where Jesus responds a second time to the accusation of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law that His disciples were spiritually “unclean” because they ate food with dirty hands (Mark 7:5). These religious leaders thought that it was their unclean hands that caused the disciples to have an unclean life. But Jesus teaches that it is something else that causes them and us to be spiritually “unclean.”
