Today we are beginning a new study entitled, “Dangerous Prayers.” Unfortunately, our tendency can be to pray safe prayers that make little impact upon our lives and others’ lives. The challenge in this study will be to pray dangerous prayers that forever change us and change others. In this first message we will look at a story that both Mark and Matthew tell us about Jesus healing a demon-possessed boy after His disciples were unable to heal him (Mark 9:14-29; Matthew 17:14-21). The lessons that Jesus taught the disciples that day about effective praying are lessons that we must learn if we are to be effective in our own praying (James 5:16).
