This study will focus on Mark 12:38-44, where Jesus drew two pictures for us — a picture of selfish ambition in the teachers of the law and a picture of humble sacrifice in a poor widow. We each need to decide which of these two pictures best describes us, because according to Jesus’ teachings, which picture we choose will determine if we will be condemned or commended by God.
