This study will focus on Mark 15:1-20, where Jesus was put on trial before the Roman governor Pilate. The Sanhedrin accused Jesus of claiming to be a king and causing an uprising against Rome. As a result, Pilate needed to investigate these accusations to determine if they were true or not. We, too, should want to investigate Jesus and His claim to be a king. We will learn from this morning’s story that there are several ways that we can respond to His kingly claims.
