This study will focus on Mark 7:1-13, where Jesus confronts the Pharisees and some teachers of the law. These Jewish leaders were upset that His disciples were eating with “unclean hands,” according to their traditions. The truth is, as we will learn, that they placed a greater emphasis upon such traditions than upon the teaching of the Scriptures when it needs to be the exact opposite. This is equally true for us — Bible teachings must have priority over any man-made traditions.
