Over the past two lessons we have been emphasizing Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28, verses 19 and 20, to “to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” According to Jesus in these verses, a key part of becoming one of His disciples is being baptized. That’s why this morning we want to learn some of the New Testament’s basic teachings about baptism.
